the fly dressers guild
Peter Watson
Peter resigned as merchandise Manager of the Guild at the recent AGM after twenty years in the post. During that time he has instigated a number of changes to the way our merchandise is sourced and sold.
He was ever present at many of the shows and exhibitions we attended. His knowledge of computers and all things electronic have been invaluable as the Guild embraced the internet and new technology.
Always available to help in many ways Peter will be missed at our meetings, not least in the shortage of home made fruit cake, which on many cold days in marquees was the highlight of the whole show.
We wish him well in his “retirement” and look forward to seeing him at some of the shows still to come.

See you at the British Fly Fair International 2008 on the 1st and 2nd November!
As in previous years the FDG will be well represented and running our familiar clinic for those trying to master the techniques and introducing newcomers by getting them to tie their first fly.
The Flydressers' Guild is a non-profit organisation whose sole objective is to promote and cultivate the art of fly dressing. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in flytying.
We are a UK based organisation, but have over 450 overseas members, including a Branch in Tokyo, Japan and the Southern Appalachian Fly Tyers in the USA.
