This week has seen an increase in activity with those that salmon fish with some results by Fred Parry and Tim Prosser who have both hooked and lost salmon on the beats this week. I would suggest those that are out fish deep and slow with largish flies such as a Willie Gun or Tosh. Trout have gone off a little in the rising water but are still showing in numbers below the gwentanglingsoc pipe marker. The E.A. have now finished there work on the beat and it looks far better for it. I would ask those of you that on occasion take you wives and dogs for a walk along the river without fishing to stop doing so until thelambing season is finished. The new owners are still suffering problems from unauthorised users of the farm ground. If you want to walk the ground whilst not fishing then have your permit with you. You will be checked. If you want to walk your dog on the ground please clear it first with the owners but beaware that permission is not likely to be given. A great deal of work has gone into securing the fishing at Ty Mawr do not let lack of thought or consideration spoil it for the future. If any of you have success then let me know. Tight lines. |
