| Ty Mawr 4th September 2005 | | Print | |

Ty Mawr is in a similar state to the whole river system in that it is screaming out for rain. Be aware that if you are fishing for the trout that the reduced flows will cause the fish stress when returned and you may well have to take longer than usual to allow the fish to recover properly. There are Pale Wateries and other lighter coloured olives about and plenty of sedge hatching. I would recommend the use of an F Fly of a suitable side at this time still concentrating on the evening fishing. Just a reminder for those of you with only a trout license you can only fish for trout from an hour before sunrise to an hour after sunset which doesn't necessarily mean until it is pitch black. It really does not need sying but the salmon fishing will be on hold until the rain comes and we need it in some quantity. Tight lines |
