The season is almost upon us and the river looks fine although low for this time of year.
Be brave and give it a go as the trout are hungry and are rising freely when the dark olives are showing.
I would fish between 12 noon and 4pm as this is when the trout are showing to the hatches of dark olive. Fish wet s12 dark olive patterns or a team of three with a cast of a pheasant tail nymph on the point a dark olve wet on the top dropper and either a waterhen bloa or usk naylor on the middle dropper.
If you want to try a dry when the fish are showing then try a dry hares lug or a quil gordon.
Tight lines and let us know how you are getting on through the forum.
