Llan farm Clean Up | Print |
The first clean up of the year took place at Llan Farm on Sunday 19th March 2006.

With only a few of us there we were limited to what we could do. Having said that however those who came did the Society proud.

Out of six of us there two were permit holders from Ty Mawr.

The alders and other bankside trees were given a much needed hair cut from the marker post down stream.

Tom Richards used his chain saw to good effect whilst the rest grabbed the branches and moved them to the wood to provide shelter for the wildlife.

the weather was kind and the sun shinned all morning and as time went on booble hats were disgarded as where the warm fleeces.

Alan Parfit slaved away with the 5 metre saw we bought last year getting to those branches that his has stalked for years. you know the ones I mean. Those that steal those favorite flies on the final false cast to cover that really big trout that lies in the tail of the run!!!!!!

Two large bags of rubbish were collected by new member Tony Morgan from Pandy who can be seen standing on the right of the group photo.

The next clean up day at Llan Farm is set for Sunday 9th April 2006 meeting by the bottom gate at 10am so please try and spare an hour or two to help as many hands do make light work.
