Great Support From Tom and His Team

I thought it only right that those of you who have fished this year at both Ty Mawr and Llan Farm should realise how much effort and work is done by committee member Tom Richards and his team form the C.A.D. project.

Tom this year has been responsible with the team for building a natural step way at Ty Mawr.

The work is carried out by volunteers and as you can see under the keen and watch ful eye of Ken Bull our friend and bailiff.

The idea is that we enhance the fishery in an appropiate and safe way for the betterment of the fishery and our members.

This just does not happen over night but involves a great deal of organisation and hard work.

Permission for the work and access has to be granted with consideration for the environment.

When the job is done it is you the members that fish theseareas who get the full benefit

so I woukd ask you to be minded of the effortd that Tom and his team continue to do for us as a society.

As well as the steps at Ty Mawr you will also be aware of the new stiles that have been put in. More work is to be done this winter and you will have been notified of the date sin the news letter.

Those of you that have fished the beats for a number of years will hopefully see the reduction in both giant hogweed and japanese knot weed. This is due again to Toms efforts in getting licensed and qualified sprayers with authority from the E.A. to get rid of these two awful weeds. this work will continue for some time to come.

No it's not the ghost busters.

Once again thanks Tom to you and to your team and some of our own members who have given of their time. It really is much appreciated.
