| BBQ For The Workers | | Print | |
|
On Friday 30th June 2006 at Ty Mawr an BBQ was organized so that we could thank those of you who have helped us develop the club during the past 2 to 3 years. ![]() The invite was extended to both those that had done the work and their partners and family who had let them go. It is so important to remember that without the support of these people and their families nothing would get done. ![]() Terry Thomas and his family also joined us and with his continued support the club looks for a settled future. Both Terry and Archie are both committed to build something of lasting value on the farm and to date have confidence in our managment of the water. ![]() Some of our new members such as Tony Morgan enjoyed a feast and good company. ![]() Joe Meadows and his good lady enjoyed the work that he and Huw Bassett had pur into organizing the event and making sure that Tom Richards and his C.A.D. Team were well looked after. ![]() It is Tom and his team here who keep everything ticking over throughout the season with the maintainance of stiles and gates as well as the often needed bank work. ![]() The old and new treasurers were hard at it discussing the merits and curses of the job. Ken Jones on the far left of this photo has served us so well since the sixties and his contribution must never be forgotten. Dai Parker and Alan Parfitt could only discuss their forthcoming trip to Alberta. Lucky souls. ![]() The stars of the evening were Paul Murphy and Mike Bubella who provided a fantastic feast for us all. Both were confused however by the Hawaian in the silly shirt. (I don't really mean it honest Graham) ![]() Our Chairman and his good lady Tina where perfect hosts as you would expect and as usual he produced and excellent speach. It wasn't even slurred. ![]() A special thanks to Huw Bassett and his good lady. It is the likes of Huw who are future and he has taken the place of his Uncle Alan Bassett, who sadly is now fishing with Mike Weekes somewhere close I am sure, in such a way that he has fitted right into his shoes. Thank you Huw for your support and hard work this year. Don't put away your saw yet we haven't finished!!!!!!! To all of you who have given us support thanks. For those of you not yet been to help please try in future every scrap of help is needed. It is true many hands do make light work. |
