| Mentoring Day Sunday 3rd April 2011 |
|
A mentoring day has been arranged for both single handed and double handed casting and fishing. The event is open to anyone who wishes to improve or learn new skills. The idea is that you will have the opportunity to enjoy several demonstrations and explanations for fishing and casting techniques which will be followed by hands on development. The event is being run by Insured GAIA Instructors who will be able to answer your questions and develop your understanding of the arts of fishing the fly.
If you are interested in getting involved then simply contact the Society through this e-mail http://www.gwentanglingsociety.co.uk/contact-us, and register for the event by clicking here. The cost of the event will be £50 for none members and £40 for members of the Gwent Angling Society. The demonstrations will include single handed fishing techniques for both up and down stream fishing. Double handed fishing techniques and use of the many different lines available today. Development of casting techniques whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned veteran at the sport.
If you are a beginner and do not have equipment, then provided you let us know before hand, we will be able to supply it to you. Assisting on the day will be Loomis Pro Guide Alun Rees and Hardy Academy members Ian Hockley, Mark Roberts and Mike Smith as well as qualified APGAI and GAIC Instructors and GAIA Associate Members who are preparing to take assessment in the near future. If you have further questions about the event then simply contact us through this website.
